What is the easiest way to build a relationship with your readers?

Simply put, post regularly.

It may seem daunting, but regular content will show your readers that you are active and available.

If you create a schedule and stick to it, your readers will see that you are consistent with your online presence.

Nothing is worse than finding a creator that you really enjoy and seeing that they post twice a year. Or every other year. Or that they have never added anything to their website since it was created.

Your readers or followers are waiting for your next major publication. Why should they also have to wait for you to publish other content?

Blog posts are a short, easy, and quick way to keep engagement up and keep your readers interested in what you are up to.

They don’t always have to be groundbreaking, either. Your blog posts can be about your struggles or finding the right pacing with a certain chapter.

Blog posts are about the human element in a small, easily consumed manner. You don’t have to write an entire novel, but they need to be longer than a tweet.

If you find yourself writing larger swaths of text, consider turning them into newsletters. You can expand on topics in a newsletter but try to keep them to one page.

You can even recycle some of your newsletter content for blog posts, and vice versa. But make sure that you aren’t just copy and pasting the same things over and over.

Your readers are paying attention to you and your content for a specific reason. Don’t neglect your social presence because you have few subscribers. Make it count for the people who are invested in you, it will pay off.
