To “go all out” means to put forth as much effort as possible. That is (ideally) what you should be doing, author. The more effort you put forth, the better the results are going to be.
Social media means maximizing your connections. Reach out to like-genre authors, book centric accounts, potential readers, and more. Don’t be afraid to reach out to libraries, podcasts, and book stores as well. Make a list of the right types of connections for you and go all out to build those connections.
Regularly request reviews from readers. Having reviews roll in on a regular basis is wonderful, author! Share your excitement over a new review and encourage readers to submit their reviews. I know it makes your day, and it makes mine too anytime I see a new review. Effort on your part will result in effort on their part.
Maximize your marketing. Invest in ads, leverage social media, and launch campaigns. Consider hosting a giveaway as well. All of these will help you to gain traction, putting your books in front of new readers.
Build your brand! You need to develop a recognizable brand through tone, visuals, and your online presence. The use of a logo and a color palette can go a long way to help with this. Don’t be afraid to do an overhaul on your website and social media platforms once you get your brand situated.
Try going all out for 30 days and see what happens. You never know until you try.
