Your first priority is to have social media accounts that are specifically about you, author. If you have multiple accounts, make sure that your professional and personal ones are separate. Your bio needs to be short and sweet and have a tested link to your website.
Your next most important step is to be involved in all your social accounts. Utilize scheduling tools available on these apps. Make time to be active and engaged on every platform you have an account on. It takes work.
It’s a snap to post content. The tricky part is making the algorithm work in your favor. For Instagram and TikTok, utilize the hashtags #booktok and #bookstagram. Pay attention to which posts are performing better than others. Is it the graphic, topic, hashtag, or something else?
Facebook functions differently than Instagram and Tiktok. While videos and photos are still very prominent, it is permits longer form text posts. You can share your Instagram posts directly to your Facebook account when you post, so double check that feature is toggled. Be sure to add more written content to your Facebook page, link to your blog posts, and maybe add a snippet of your newsletter occasionally.
